General Functions |
|
The position is responsible for designing benefits and wellness programs that promote healthy employee behaviors across the County. Develops, implements, and provides oversight for all countywide wellness programs, campaigns, resources, and events.
Work requires independent judgment and is performed under the general supervision of the Benefits and Wellness Administrator.

Representative Duties /Assignments |
|
- Analyzes, develops, and executes the countywide wellness incentive program, myOCWellness, providing up to date reporting, cross-departmental collaboration and responding member inquiries.
- Advances, implements, and manages all County events that could include Financial Wellness Workshops, Annual Wellness Expo, IOA Corporate 5K, Health Summits, Site Wellness Days and more. Able to navigate events with up to 500+ capacity.
- Researches, manages, develops and implements specific healthcare, prevention programs, wellness applications, mental health resources.
- Participates and advises at the monthly Medical Oversight Committee meetings by providing reports, presentations, and feedback.
- Evaluates and prepares wellness budgets associated with various wellness events and submits estimated wellness budget as a part of the annual work planning and budget process.
- Creates, reviews, and modifies the Countys multi-dimensional wellness calendar.
- Manages revisions, scopes of work, and databases for multiple contracts, and conducts health and wellness contract reviews.
- Coordinates with external partners to bring blood drives, flu shot clinics, onsite mobile dermatology, and mammography to County sites.
- Develops and maintains all marketing and collateral in collaboration with communications team to include quarterly newsletters, flyers, websites, and wellness guides.
- Functions as a team lead for virtual and on-site professional staff that provides medical services through various vendor contracts.
- Manage and oversee Wellness Champions group, recruiting and engaging members from various departments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications |
|
Bachelors degree in Health Education, Public Health, Exercise Physiology, Fitness/Wellness, Sports and Exercise Science, Health and Wellness Management, Nutrition or a closely related field and four years of experience with wellness program development and event planning.
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License. |

Preferences |
|
Experience implementing and coordinating wellness events and initiatives for large organizations and maintaining partnerships with wellness and healthcare vendors.
Experience designing, editing and distribution of marketing materials.
Nutritional management experience.
Event planning knowledge
