General Functions |
|
The 311 Training and Development Specialist assists in planning, developing, and implementing training programs for 311 Service Center Specialists. Assists with developing programs to inform citizens of the 311 Call Center and its services.
Work is performed with considerable independence under the general supervision of the 311 Management Team. The work is evaluated by effectiveness, design, and delivery of training programs. |

Representative Duties /Assignments |
|
- Analyzes the learning needs of the Service Center Specialist and presents the information to the 311 leadership team.
- Develops, implements, and conducts training classes and training manuals for Service Center Specialists. Classes include new hire training and refresher training as required.
- Assists with development of training manuals and supplemental materials (tests, activities, handouts) for Service Center Specialists.
- Serves as Emergency Essential employee by disseminating information to the public before, during, and after an emergency or disaster.
- Conducts informational presentations to schools, homeowner associations, senior citizen groups, governmental agencies, and other groups on the use of 311. Facilitates training workshops to enhance the professional development of staff.
- Recommends process improvements, new learning solutions, variations from current materials and procedures by analyzing, and summarizing trends and patterns.
- Performs Quality Assurance evaluations and provides reports to Management and the Administrative team.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications |
|
A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Education, Psychology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field, and one year of training and development experience or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. |
