General Functions |
|
This position provides coordination of services for uninsured patients accessing medical diagnostic testing. The position will collaborate with contracted vendors and medical clinics on rate structures. This position exercises independent judgment under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse and the Division Manager. |

Representative Duties /Assignments |
|
- Respond and direct patient inquiries for diagnostic services including appointment scheduling.
- Foster relationships with area diagnostic providers and conduct rate negotiations.
- Develop and maintain a database to store vendor rates/services and patient inquiries, referrals and outcomes.
- Participate in various Primary Care Access Network (PCAN) meetings including monthly case management meetings.
- Coordinate services with individuals that are affiliated with the program including internal and external County partners.
- Prepare and submit reports as required by contractual obligations and for general administrative purposes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications |
|
Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution in Health Sciences or closely related field and one year of experience working in a medical office setting and/or diagnostic imagining center setting. An Associate's Degree in Health Sciences or closely related field and three years of experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's Degree.
Must be familiar with a variety of diagnostic technologies including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), nuclear medicine, ultrasound, mammography and general radiology.
