General Functions |
|
Provides strategic planning, direction, administration and management of all aspects of division operations/services to assist eligible low-income residents achieve a greater degree of self-sufficiency. |
|
Representative Duties /Assignments |
|
- Provide administrative direction and coordination to division activities including planning, coordinating, development and implementation of division service delivery system.
- Plan, develop, direct and monitor divisions budget by analyzing revenues and authorizing expenditures.
- Develop and review division policies and procedures for compliance with County, State and Federal Regulations operational relevance and compliance to County, State and Federal statutes and guidelines.
- Organize, plan and direct the activities of the assigned programs and the operation of community facilities for the division to ensure that services are provided to eligible residents of the community.
- Serve as community liaison by addressing civic groups, organizations, and other interested parties regarding division programs and services.
- Serve as liaison to the Community Action Board to communicate the division's needs and program status.
- Responsible for various personnel matters including hiring, discipline, training and development, performance appraisals and related activities.
- Develop and negotiate contracts with state, federal, and private agencies.
- Develop division goals consistent with community needs and Orange County policy.

Minimum Qualifications |
|
Masters degree from an accredited college or university in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Public Administration or a closely related field and five years of experience in social service programs, or a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Public Administration or a closely related field and seven years of experience in social service programs, to include three years of supervisory experience. |
