General Functions |
|
Provides planning and research services in the development of health and human services programs.
Distinguishing Characteristics of Work
This is responsible professional staff work in the review, planning, development and evaluation of health and human services programs.
The employee in this position must exercise independent judgment in planning programs for the appropriate utilization of funds in keeping with program assessment and reporting requirements.
Work is performed under the general supervision of a higher graded position and is reviewed for the achievement of desired results through conferences and reports.

Representative Duties /Assignments |
|
- Collects and analyzes demographic and needs assessment data related to health and human services delivery.
- Reviews literature, conducts interviews, makes site visits to identify successful programs and interventions and best practices.
- Develops and maintains planning data base and resource collection.
- Conducts specific studies to analyze and develop recommendations for new programs and modifications to existing programs.
- Participates in the design, collection and analysis of program/services outcome and effectiveness evaluation.
- Produces periodic and ad hoc reports on health and human services needs and delivery systems.
- Trains and educates division staff on data collection and reporting methods.
- Develops tentative program proposals and budgets.
- Leads project teams with staff from various divisions and disciplines.
- Performs other staff assignments as required.

Minimum Qualifications |
|
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree in social, behavioral or health sciences, public administration or a closely related field and one year of experience in service delivery or planning; or a Bachelor’s degree in one of the required disciplines and three years of experience in service delivery or planning.
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida operator’s license. |
