SENIOR COORDINATOR

General Functions
   The Senior Coordinator is responsible for administering and coordinating programs, activities and/or special projects as specified by the department. Programs may include social services, educational, criminal justice or other community service related activities. This position acts as a liaison between the department and outside agencies. This position may supervise staff, volunteers, and/or interns. Maybe required to manage and monitor budget expenses based on area of assignment.

Work is performed with considerable independence under the supervision of the Program Manager and requires the possession of exceptional organizational skills. Work is reviewed for accuracy, efficiency and compliance with established procedures.
 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  
  • Responsible for the supervision and administration of major programs and projects within the department.
  • Processes and monitors grant compliance and expenditures.
  • Attends outreach events and meetings to educate citizens about division programs.
  • Performs project management responsibilities independently.
  • Gather, analyze and report program data.
  • Implementing multi-faceted grant programs and staff liaison to an advisory board.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
 
Minimum Qualifications
   Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in (Psychology, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Social Work, or closely related field ) and three years' experience in coordinating, planning, and administrating programs or an equivalent combination of education, and experience. May be required to possess one year of supervisory experience. Degree and experience will be specified based on department and programs to be assigned.

Head Start


Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Nutrition, Home Economics, Hospitality Management, or closely related field and three years' experience in coordinating, planning and administrating programs or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. May be required to possess one year of supervisory experience.
