General Functions |
|
Responsible for the coordination of the operational and emergency radio, mobile data, and pager communications needs of multi agencies. |
|
Representative Duties /Assignments |
|
- Coordinates and manages interlocal agreements, programming and radio related services for cities within Orange county and adjacent counties.
- Plan, design, test, implement, document, program, and troubleshoot radio applications.
- Develop and provide customer training.
- Program and manage radio system operating software.
- Project manage the wireless data services.
- Project manage the pager system software and equipment.
- Perform business analysis of the unit.
- Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications |
|
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electronics or related field. Three years of current experience in RSS software, LAN, and project management. Experience working in a highly visible position, and a high regard for political sensitivity. Strong verbal and written communication skills. An equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities, is acceptable.
Software and Equipment Skills Required
Software: Microsoft Office, Internet, E-mail, inventory software (CMS), and Motorola programming software.
Equipment: Desktop and lap top computers, mobile and portable radios, consoles, and pagers, radio programming cables and interface equipment.
