MULTI-MEDIA COORDINATOR, CORRECTIONS

General Functions
   Provides professional, technical and supervisory work in video arraignment, digital imaging technology, video surveillance, video productions, audio/visual technology implementation and application, 35mm/medium format and digital photography. This position requires advanced skills in use of complex state-of-the-art equipment in high-secure areas for large-budget projects with minimal supervision.
 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  
  • Operates, maintains and engineers video production equipment and writes, produces, directs and supervises all video productions and programs
  • Provides photographic services for publications, displays, presentations and computers for department, county and related outside agencies.
  • Researches, oversees and coordinates all elements of the video arraignment system at Corrections for Corrections and the Public Defender to the Orange County Courthouse. Also, responds to equipment malfunctions make fiber pull to locations and recommends equipment purchases.
  • Develops, maintains and trains on the use of digital imagery technologies for detention facility extraction and events, as well as arrestee property identification to help diminish future lawsuits.
  • Develops and oversees the purchase and installation of an employee video surveillance system in high pilferable areas to help reduce monetary and property loss.
  • Prepares budgets, participates in meetings, training, and coordination of other assigned projects per management.
  • Serves as Department point of contact for audio/visual technology development and implementation. This includes closed circuit television, Audio/Video on computers, video equipment centralization, video conferencing, audio/visual configurations for Central Intake and Training.
  • Researches video technologies and industry trends and participates on planning committees to meet current and future video and audio/visual needs for the Corrections organization.
 
Minimum Qualifications
   Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or a closely related field and five years of experience or an Associates Degree and seven years of experience producing, directing, and all technical aspects of video production. Must be ale to go from concept to delivery of final (video) product, including script writing, videography, editing on a linear and non-linear editing system, audio mixing and working in a broadcast production environment. Experience with 35 mm, medium format and digital photography/imaging (including related imaging software experience); engineering of video and audio/visual equipment; configuring video and audio/visual equipment One year supervisory experience in a video production environment inclusive of the five or seven years of total experience. Strong researching skills in audio/visual equipment and technologies.

Panasonic AG-A800 Controlling Editor.

Have and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.
