General Functions |
|
Responsible for the direction and management of the department's information technology needs in a client server environment. Work is performed with considerable independence under the direction of the Division Manager or designee. |
|
Representative Duties /Assignments |
|
- Responsible for managing LAN/WAN, geographic information systems, computerized maintenance management systems and customer information systems.
- Provides quality customer service through the management and supervision of the department's Information Technologies Group.
- Interacts with all functions within the department and other County departments and agencies.
- Serves as the department's primary liaison with the Division of Information Systems and Services.
- Analyzes existing systems and researches new applications, recommending and implementing changes.
- Develops short and long range plans for the information systems needs for the department.
- Responsible for the coordination and integration of the department's hardware/software needs.
- Responsible for performance optimization and system security.
- Performs responsible supervisory and administrative duties.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications |
|
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or closely related field and six years of experience in network systems administration, or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training, certification and experience. |
