Coordinates activities performed by the work unit, schedules work activities to maintain facilities in efficient operating conditions, reviews work performed by a variety of trades, responds to emergency situations to correct operating problems in a timely fashion.

Work is performed with considerable independence under the supervision of designated Manager. Performance is reviewed through observations, reports and results achieved.

Duties may vary based on area of assignment. The following are representative duties, it is not the intent to capture all duties performed by this classification.

• Supervises Weighmasters at multiple scale house locations
• Performs accounting duties including cash handling, daily reconciliation, verifying and preparing deposits, monitoring and auditing Solid Waste customer transactions
• Processes and establishes new Solid Waste accounts
• Trains new staff members, administers discipline, monitors staff performance and prepares evaluations.
• Maintains and tracks daily, monthly and ad hoc spreadsheets on request.
• Audits AutoScale/Databridge software data, prepares currency orders and appropriate to staff as needed.
• Enters Purchase Requisitions into Maximo.
• Investigates and resolves customer complaints, serving as a point of contact for Solid Waste customer inquiries.

Monitors the performance of the truck scales, report computer issues and schedule any necessary repairs needed for all scale house locations.

Graduation from high school or equivalent and 3 years of customer service or weighmaster experience to include 1 year of supervisory experience. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License.

Based on area of assignment may be required to possess and maintain the appropriate certification or license.

Must be Available 24 hours per day for 364 days a year for (4) scale house locations.
