This position coordinates the procurement and performance of the maintenance, repair, and service requirements for an assigned facility.
Distinguishing Characteristics of Work
This requires a high degree of responsibility in planning and implementing a preventive maintenance system at the facility, identifying and prioritizing facility repairs to ensure timely correction of physical plant deficiencies, and coordinating the procurement and performance of services provided to the facility by vendors.
The Supervisor, through verbal and written directives provides supervision.

| Representative Duties /Assignments |

- Coordinates repair requirements for the assigned Facility, including the solicitation of proposals to select vendors. (Air conditioning, electrical system, elevator, roof, etc.)
- Coordinates all service required for the assigned Facility, including the solicitation of proposals to select vendors. (Air conditioning, electrical system, elevator, roof, etc.)
- Plans, implements and performs preventive maintenance schedule for the assigned Facility.
- Assists the Supervisor in the formulation of the budget and performs cost control for areas of responsibility.
- Implements work-order system to prioritize and process routine repair and maintenance requirements.
- Serves as facility point of contact with occupants, Fire Department, contractors and service representatives.
- Provides customer service to tenants of the facility, responding to complaints and problems. Tours the facility on a regular basis and participates on or forms committees to discuss improvements.
- Responds to emergencies at the assigned facility after hours.
- Performs related duties as required.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Graduation from high school or equivalent and two (2) years experience in the construction and/or repair and planned maintenance of commercial facilities with knowledge of construction contracting and procurement processes. |
