| General Functions |
| |
Provides planning and management of the client educational programs, including, but not limited to, academic, life skills and career development programs. Liaison with internal programs and external agencies which impact client educational success, including schools, school district programs and departments, Department of Children & Families, Department of Juvenile Justice, educational services contractors and division programs. Exercises considerable independence in performing assigned duties. Performance is primarily reviewed through documentation of client educational progress and program results. |

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
- Establishes outcome goals for educational programs and specific, appropriate educational plans for program clients.
- Reviews and maintains educational records of all clients.
- Monitors and evaluates client progress toward individual educational plans.
- Coordinates individual educational plans with internal programs and external agencies.
- Primary educational liaison with internal programs and external agencies, including but not limited to, teachers, principals, school district administrative staff, parents and/or guardians, and division staff.
- Supervises educational staff.
- Provides academic, life skills and career development programs, including direct instruction as needed.
- Oversees the management of the educational scholarship program by identifying eligible students and scholarship opportunities and assisting students in seeking appropriate financial aid.
Manages educational resources, including but not limited to, computer lab, library, instructional aides, etc.
- Completes and submits required reports, forms, and evaluations.
- Assists in providing training for parents and staff in techniques that can improve client educational performance.
- Establish and manage the volunteer tutoring program.
- Performs other related duties as required.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a closely related field, five years responsible experience in classroom instruction and one year of school administrative experience. |

| Preferences |
| |
Track record of academic success with at-risk students and/or remediation programs. Recent experience working with Orange County Public Schools district-level programs and administrators. Experience with computer-aided instruction. |
