| General Functions |
| |
Responsible position with extensive public and professional contact. Performs community relation functions in support of the economic development mission of the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC). |

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
- Assists the Marketing Manager in developing, implementing and annually updating the OCCC “Community Relations” plan.
- Assists the OCCC Deputy General Manager in developing, implementing and annually updating the OCCC/ Economic Development Commission “Business Development” plan.
- Assists the Executive Director in developing, implementing and annually updating the OCCC “Legislative” plan. Assists the County Administrator’s office, the County Legal Department and/ or the County Chairman’s office on legislative matters as needed.
- Assists Sales and Marketing Managers in developing a public relations program promoting the Convention Center locally, nationally and internationally. Provides recommendations on short and long term marketing strategies.
- Assists with all international contacts to increase international awareness of the Center.
- Informs and educates local businesses, government officials and community leaders regarding the OCCC through meetings, communications and presentations.
- Represents the Convention Center at Orange County related events as well as acting as the liaison for any Orange County events held at the Center.
- Responsible for placement of Orange County events in the facility and on the convention calendar.
- Develops relationships with area hoteliers, Orange County Convention and Visitors Bureau representatives (CVB) and OCCC service providers in order to portray Orlando and Orange County as a destination that works as a team.
- Acts as the staff liaison to the Tourist Development Council (TDC) and is responsible for the management of all TDC meetings, records management, etc.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or Public Administration or a closely related field and three (3) years experience in the marketing or hospitality industry; or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training or experience.
Strong presentation and writing skills.
