MIS SPECIALIST (CONV CTR)

FLSA Status: Exempt 

General Functions
   Under general supervision, performs analytical, technical work providing customer support and problem resolution in areas such as data communications and applications, microcomputers and computer peripheral equipment.
 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  
  • Maintains and troubleshoots PC LAN hardware and software.
  • Trains end users on PC hardware and software.
  • Reviews and recommends hardware and software for PCs to meet customer business needs.
  • Assists MIS Analyst in supporting business applications to include troubleshooting and training.
  • Specifies, orders and installs PCs, printers and peripherals.
  • Creates and maintains databases for section use and for other sections maintain.
  • Assists users in creating and performing multi-media interactive presentations using computers, scanners and audio/visual equipment.
  • Direct supervisory responsibility for MIS Prime Time and Intern staff.
 
Minimum Qualifications
   Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Processing or a related field and one (1) year of customer support experience in a computer support environment; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with all levels of staff on technical and non-technical issues.
