This is a responsible professional sales and marketing position with extensive public and professional contact. An employee in this position is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day activities of the Marketing Division to include research and promotional activities, initial client contact and account follow-up, pre-contact preparation and scheduling. |

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
- Supervises Account Executives; monitors performance including sales activities, meetings, sales reports and coaches presentation skills.
- Assists Manager, Sales, Marketing and Event Management in developing a yield management program in order to maximize event days in the facility while coordinating efforts with the Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau. Monitors and reviews all tentative and definite bookings to assure accuracy of dates, space and rates.
- Assists in strategic planning and in the budget process.
- Maintains on ongoing relationship with industry partners, making recommendations for policies and procedures affecting revenue and contract issues.
- Participates in industry trade shows, sales blitzes and promotional events as well as Bureau familiarization trips.
- Analyzes current market trends in order to provide accurate and up-to-date data for future marketing decisions.
- Assists in establishing the OCCC sales and marketing plan and coordinates strategy, research and promotional efforts with Account Executives.
- Solicits national convention/trade show market placing groups to maximize space and generate resort tax dollars for the Orange County Convention Center.
- Participates in internal and external meetings of Orange County, such as Visitors Bureau, Tourist Development Council and the Convention Center Contract Committee and Policy Committee.
- Meets Center of Hospitality (CoH) Standards.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Marketing, Public Relations, Financial Management, Business or Public Administration, or closely related field and five years supervisory experience in a sales position with a hotel, convention bureau, convention service provider, convention center or attractions; or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training or experience.
