| General Functions |
| |
Responsible for the actual “hands-on†management and display of the archival collections. Work is reviewed by the Curator of Collections through meetings and results achieved. |

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
- Performs specialized procedures in preserving and exhibiting archival material entrusted to the museum.
- Identifies, researches and prepares collection items for exhibit displays.
- Assists the Curator of Collections in managing the archival collection of the museum.
- Organizes and manages the archival collection in all areas of the museum, including storage, exhibition, and research
- Assists with the shipping and receiving of loans and traveling exhibits for the museum.
- Obtains, develops, organizes and catalogs new collections of individual artifacts to enhance and improve existing inventories.
- Organizes and coordinates on-going inventory of collections.
- Assists with developing and maintaining an automated record-keeping system for collection.
- Manages archive collection and responds to all requests for archives from public and private interests.
- Assists in the construction of in-house exhibits and the display of temporary traveling exhibits that come to the museum.
- Coordinates, trains and supervises volunteers that work in the collection area of the museum.
- Assists with special events held by the society for the museum.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in History, Anthropology, Humanities or a related field and one year of experience working in an archive, a library, a museum or a related occupation.
Must be able to work weekends and evenings as required.
