| General Functions |
| |
Performs paraprofessional and administrative support work in County Human Resources. Work is performed under the supervision of an HR Advisor, Sr. HR Analyst or the individual within a department that leads the Human Resources function. |

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
- Assists by preparing job advertisements, prepares internal and external job postings, enters data from applications in the applicant tracking system.
- Administers clerical testing, prepares applications for screening, evaluates applicant qualifications for entry level positions and prepares applicant correspondence.
- Completes data input and closes recruitment files once the hiring decision has been made.
- Makes preliminary job offer to selected candidates and maintains interview documentation.
- Processes new hires by coordinating physicals, mailing out new employee information packages, and preparing new employee orientation list.
- Facilitates department or division new employee orientation.
- Responds to general questions concerning recruitment, compensation, benefits, training and employee relations.
- Maintains predetermination (PDH) and grievance files, schedules grievances and processes employee notification and related paperwork.
- Performs purchasing, time and attendance tracking, travel and mileage reimbursement process and related administrative support functions for a designated unit.
- Assists in the coordination and administration of employee training programs.
- Prepares and reviews Employee Change Notices (ECNs) for accuracy, completeness and authorizing signatures. Assists with research and resolution of payroll issues.
- Maintains department documents and files to include staffing, position vacancies, reclassifications, training attendance and other personnel actions.
- Prepares and forwards background screening documents to the appropriate agencies and reports results to the hiring authority.
- Coordinates employee service or awards programs.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Graduated from a High School or equivalent and three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative support experience, or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education and experience. |

| Preferences |
| |
Experience in a human resources support role.
