| General Functions |

Develops and administers countywide employee wellness programs and supervises Wellness staff.
Work requires independent judgment and is performed under the general supervision of a Human Resources Administrator.

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
- Develops, implements and provides oversight for countywide health management and wellness programs.
- Researches needs and works with the Wellness Nurse, County Wellness Advisory Committee, HR Administrator, Benefits team and outside resources to ensure the development and delivery of quality wellness programs.
- Leads and coordinates Orange County’s Employee Wellness For Life initiatives.
- Works closely with the Wellness Advisory Committee on employee wellness strategy and program development. Responsible for establishing and providing ongoing communication, direction and support to Wellness Champions in all departments.
- Develops and conducts in-department group wellness education sessions.
- Leads and coordinates countywide and department specific wellness fairs, fitness assessments and targeted wellness interventions.
- Provides day-to-day leadership and supervision to HR Wellness Specialists.
- Maintains and submits accurate wellness financial, inventory and program participation records. Recommends and prepares the annual wellness work program, and participates in the annual work planning and budget process.
- Prepares manuals, announcements, bulletins and promotional materials. Publishes county activities, events, and services through appropriate media.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in health education, public health, exercise physiology or a closely related field and five years of professional (FLSA exempt level) experience in the health and wellness profession. |
