| General Functions |
| |
Responsible for the design and creation of customer artwork, publicity, marketing, and advertising materials.
This is responsible work designing and creating promotional, programs and advertising materials. Duties include designing and creating various division brochures, fliers, and publicity materials, logos, marketing materials and displays.
An employee in this position must be skilled in desktop publishing, painting, drawing, and specialized custom artwork creation: taking photographs; and creating displays, signage, and presentation materials. Additional duties include assisting with various division programs, activities, and special events.

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
- Designs and creates division brochures, fliers, newsletters, and other publicity materials via computer; creates custom logos.
- Develops marketing materials, posters, and displays.
- Writes copy for various types of publications.
- Takes photographs and coordinates their development.
- Staffs various division programs, activities, and holiday special events.
- Assists with various division programs, activities, and special events.
- Assists in, or originating design for short deadline projects as needed by the Mayor’s Office, County Administrator’s Office, or Board of County Commissioners.
- Performs other related work as required.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Graduation from accredited college or university with an Associate’s Degree in Art, Fine Art, Graphic Design, or a closely related field. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be substituted for the education.
May be required to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
May be required to possess a valid Florida Driver’s license.

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Art, Fine Art, Graphic Design, or a closely related field and two (2) years of professional experience in computer generated art, layout, design, copywriting, and production. |
