| General Functions |

Responsible administrative and legal secretarial work involving coordination and planning administrative and office management activities. |

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
Duties may vary based on area of assignment.
- Compiles and edits contracts, lease and partnership agreements.
- Maintains the County Attorney’s or senior staff schedule and provides backup materials.
- Prepares correspondence, maintain files, coordinate reports, briefs, etc.
- Develops and implements office procedures. Ensures top quality of all correspondence, documents, communications and other matters.
- Prepares dictation in the form of correspondence, agreements, documents and contracts for distribution.
- Analyzes and compiles data, secures relevant information, researches Florida Statutes, County Code and other references for the development of legal documents.
- Maintains filing system, lists, contacts, updates code books, administrative regulations, etc.
- Responds to and resolves inquiries from the public, elected officials, county staff, outside attorneys and organizations.
- Assists in the coordination of BCC and committee meetings and activities; facilitates the implementation of committee and Board recommendations.
- Assists with special projects.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Associate’s degree and four years experience in legal office administration or legal secretarial work, to include extensive public contact experience and working with senior level management; or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training or experience. |
