ELECTRONIC SECURITY ASSISTANT

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

General Functions
   Responsible for creating and distributing Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) ID badges and access cards and assisting the Electronic Security Specialists with other related building security matters
 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  
  • Input employee data, photographs and approved access levels into security database.
  • Photograph and issue completed ID cards to OCCC employees, contractors and clients.
  • Assists with implementing, monitoring and maintaining the OCCC door key and numbering system.
  • Assists in maintaining records for all key issues, locksmith jobs and ID card information.
  • Assists in making hard keys and pin cores for doors, padlocks and other locking devices.
  • Assists in operating and maintaining electronic key boxes.
  • Retrieves data from building security systems and prepares reports as required.
  • Meets the Center of Hospitality (CoH) standards.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
 
Minimum Qualifications
   High school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in building security.

Proficient in Microsoft Access, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Must possess a valid Driver’s License and obtain a valid Florida Driver’s License within six months of hire.

Must be able to work flexible schedules as needed, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
 
Preferences
   Experience with electronic access control systems.
