| General Functions |
| |
Supervises direct care staff and direct care supervisors in a residential child care program. Responsible for ensuring that staff delivers quality care and that a safe environment is maintained for children and employees.
Work is performed under the supervision of a Counseling Services Supervisor, Residential Services Supervisor, Senior Children’s Services Counselor, or Youth & Family Program Manager and is reviewed on a regular basis through observations, conferences, and results achieved.

| Representative Duties /Assignments |

- Hires, supervises and evaluates assigned staff ensuring that program operations, policies and procedures are effectively carried out. Assigns work schedules and assures appropriate coverage.
- Plans, organizes, and delegates residential activities and operations as assigned by the Senior Children’s Services Counselor, Program Manager or Senior Program Manager.
- Ensures the safety and maintenance of facilities and equipment and that documentation or required records and reports are accurate and thorough.
- Ensures assigned staff completes required training.
- Develops and coordinates recreational and enrichment activities for clients
- Performs other related duties as required.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent credit hours in social or behavioral sciences or related field and one year of experience in services to children or families. or Associate’s degree (or equivalent credit hours) and three years of the specified experience.
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License and may be required to provide own vehicle for job related duties.
Must be able to demonstrate intermediate to advanced proficiency in word processing functions, preferably Microsoft Word and email functions.
