Performs supervision of nursing staff and inmates in a correctional facility clinic. Provides a comprehensive nursing care program. |

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
- Performs specialized technical duties utilizing nursing skills and independent judgment in the treatment and care of inmates in a correctional facility. Solves problems, establishes priorities and initiates appropriate health care.
- Supervises nursing staff within assigned clinic ensuring adherence to all established physicians’ orders, standing orders, and accepted nursing practices. Supervisory duties include but are not limited to monthly staff meetings with nursing staff and weekly meetings with the Medical Division Manager.
- Evaluates assigned nursing staff utilizing recommendations from C.O./L.P.N. II.
- Supervises proper medical record documentation by assigned nursing personnel.
- Provides assistance to Staff Physician as necessary.
- Recommends appropriate changes to the Standing Orders Procedures Manual policies.
- Orders, maintains inventory and controls medical and pharmaceutical supplies for assigned clinic and promotes cost control.
- Performs other related duties as directed by nursing supervisor.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and five years nursing experience.
Must possess a current Florida license as a registered nurse. Must be able to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays. |
