| General Functions |

Performs the installation, service, exchange and maintenance of county owned radios. |

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
- Performs radio maintenance, installation, service and exchanges in shop.
- Performs radio maintenance, installation, service and exchanges at site locations.
- Maintains inventory control.
- Prepares monthly service reports.
- Develops and provides training for technicians.
- Performs all supervisory duties of technicians.
- Performs other related duties as required.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Associate’s degree in general, radio, or computer electronics or related field. Three years of current experience in general electrical and electronic repair, installation, and service. An equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities, is acceptable.
Software and Equipment Skills Required
Software: MS DOS/Windows and Motorola Radio Service Software.
Equipment: Radio Service Monitor, Radio Power Meter, Electronics Test Equipment.
Possess and maintain a valid FCC General Radio Telephone License. |
