| General Functions |

Performs analytical and statistical functions necessary to provide the management staff with critical information to support the Division’s strategic focus and goals. Provides technical and administrative support to management by gathering data and presenting information related to the availability, performance, capacity, and integrity of Information Technology systems/services. |

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
Performs systems analysis and administrative work focused on providing Information Technology leadership with appropriate information to make critical operational and strategic decisions.
Collects historical and real-time data, analyzes the data, formulates reports / presentations based on the relevance of such information and coordinates all activities associated with the direction established by management. Collects and presents information that is relevant to services / systems availability, performance, capacity, costs, customer satisfaction, security, changes, and prevention of system anomalies.
Plans and evaluates existing systems and makes recommendations to expand service levels; provides coordination in capacity planning and performance levels of the various systems platforms. Monitors overall system performance and recommends performance improvements that will contribute to maintaining or exceeding Service Level Agreement objectives. Develops capacity reports that include actual or tentative activities that could improve resource utilization or result in resource capacity thresholds being exceeded.
Participates in change management, project management, vendor management, inventory control, technical standards and product evaluation. Prepares business case, including justification, for hardware and software purchases. Identifies and reports information related to system/service security. Provides input to the budget process and performs other duties as may be assigned.
Work is planned and completed independently and coordinated with the supervisor. While performing project management duties, the incumbent is responsible for the coordination of inter and intradepartmental resource requirements as well as the development of and adherence to project / tasks timelines.
Evaluation of performance is based on the quality of service provided, effectiveness and timeliness of communications, activities related to the success of assignments and on-time delivery of assigned projects.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Sciences, Engineering or Math and four years of Information Technology experience in the areas of data analysis, system performance and project management. Additional years of the specified experience may be substituted for education requirements on a year for year basis.
Experience in capacity planning. |
