| General Functions |

The incumbent is responsible for the technical operations of the Corrections Video Visitation entity, Office of Imagery Services, and future Command Center, Corrections IA Video Court System, the Communications Center/Studio. The incumbent in this position is also responsible for participating in all forms of video production and postproduction when assigned. Work is performed under the supervision of the section supervisor of Imagery Services and is reviewed through observations, conferences, reports and results achieved. |

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the physical Video Visitation entity. This includes all hardware at all carrels and coordinating with the vendor and I.S.S. whenever necessary to resolve all problems.
- Maintains the broadcast quality, production and transmission capabilities of all Corrections video equipment, per FCC regulations.
- Oversees technical operations of the future Command Center, Court Video, Communicator Center and the Office of Imagery Services.
- Installs, maintains and troubleshoots video production and transmission equipment.
- Researches, evaluates and recommends equipment purchases.
- Develops engineering schematics for transmission routes to integrate digital recording, live video feeds and playback systems.
- Maintains and operates satellite and possible future downlink systems.
- Maintains repair logs and generates monthly reports on repair and equipment maintenance.
- Operates microwave transmission system for all Correction video entities and productions.
- Operates video production equipment and computer-based production, programming and engineering systems for live, live to tape and edited video productions.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, Communications or a closely related field and five years of experience in video production equipment evaluation and repair, remote production planning and execution, and production equipment system design, installation and alignment; or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training and experience. |

| Preferences |
| |
Previous experience in the supervision of engineers and production crews is preferred, as is previous experience involving ether-net as a transmission for video/audio signals. |
