| General Functions |
| |
Responsible for the design, acquisition, installation, maintenance and usage of the department and division local area network. Provide backup support to the microcomputer environment and technical lead within the division. |

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
- Designs, installs and maintains local area networks.
- Studies vendor products to determine those which best meet the department or division’s needs, resulting in purchase and installation of hardware and software.
- Troubleshoots LAN problems.

Establishes and implements LAN policies, procedures and standards and ensure their conformance with ISS and department’s objectives.
- Trains users on LAN operations.
- Manages LAN performance and maintain LAN security.
- Provides technical advise to department IT personnel.
- Provides project management.
- Represents the department on technical projects.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Sciences, Software Engineering or a closely related field and four years of Local Area Network administration experience.
