| General Functions |
| |
Implements, administers, maintains and operates all Production Control software used for media management, automated job scheduling, source code storage and output management. Functions as a member of the control group responsible for the movement of source code into production environment and is instrumental in providing and coordinating daily production task scheduling. |

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
- Manipulates, utilizes, controls and maintains effective and efficient Production Control software on IBM, UNIX, and NT.
- Develops and maintains automated and manual job schedules for the enterprise to provide accurate and efficient production processing within specified daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.
- Coordinates with Application Development personnel accurate and timely object movement to the production environment.
- Provides support for the production job JCL abends and production scheduling support. Ensures that job run documentation is available and up to date.
- Identifies, diagnoses, reports and provides resolutions or recommends resolutions to resolve technical problems with Production Control software.
- Coordinates “after hours” application availability requests during periods of hardware and software scheduled outages.
- Provides implementation input and operational testing for Production Control software installations and software modifications.
- Provides 24 hour remedial and technical assistance to Computer Operations.
- Performs other related duties as required.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Associate’s degree in data processing or related field. Four years of current computer operations experience, to include two years in a Master Console Computer Operator position, or four years of mainframe task scheduling or related Production Control experience. Must be proficient in IMB JCL and familiar with Unix AIX languages. An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides required skills, knowledge and abilities is acceptable.
Possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s license.
Software and Equipment Skills Required
Software: JCL, IBM Utilities, JES2, MVS TSO/ISPF/SDSF, and Microsoft Office suite of products.
Equipment: Telephone, personal computer Possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s license.

Experience utilizing current Orange County Production Control software products: CA-Scheduler, CA-Jclcheck, CA-Librarian, Autosys, SmartCon and CCC-Harvest, Commvault Galaxy.
Operation of laser printing devices.
