| General Functions |
| |
Performs highly skilled technical work operating media software used to control data files required in a multi-processor, multi-vendor and multi-media computer environment. Complete daily deadlines to facilitate media movement offsite and provide daily operational requirements.

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
- Facilitate disaster recovery magnetic media migration to and from the offsite storage vault. Process output volumes weekly and accepting and filing incoming volumes from the offsite vendor.
- Ensure expired media is available for the Operations Unit.
- Monitor and perform tape maintenance and tape library maintenance to ensure the service ability of all media.
- Replace or correct media if errors are not acceptable.
- Provide input media required for daily processing.
- Provide tape software support by reporting software problems encountered, perform software updates, and provide information used for library and media statistics.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
High School graduate or equivalent with two years experience in general data processing, to include the operation and concepts of medium to large scale computer tape systems, tape evaluators, media cleaners, and recording concepts of magnetic media.
Possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License. |

| |
Experience with IBM CA-TLMS, digital TAPESYS, ISPF/SDSF software products, Carlisle Inspector IV Tape Evaluator, and Integra C490 Cartridge Cleaner. |
