| General Functions |
| |
Primary support position for the installation, operation and maintenance of microcomputer equipment within a department. Evaluates and installs new software on microcomputers.
Work is performed under the general supervision of a Business Unit Systems Analyst or designated supervisor.

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
- Analyzes, troubleshoots and repairs a wide variety of microcomputer problems related to hardware, software and network anomalies.
- Installs and configures computers. Determines if a software application meets the needs of the users.
- Installs new software.
- Analyzes and troubleshoots network problems.
- Verifies inventory of equipment.
- Instructs user on how to perform basic troubleshooting.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Associate’s degree in Computer Science or closely related field and two years of experience in computer repair, installation and problem analysis; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
High level of expertise in troubleshooting IBM compatible microcomputers connected to a Local and Wide Area Network. Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Windows NT, Microsoft Office and other windows based applications.. |
