| General Functions |

This position is responsible to provide supervision for the following five customer service areas: Permitting, Records, Contractors Licensing, Plans Coordination and Inspections. The position also interprets and administers Building regulations in accordance with applicable state and local ordinances. |

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
- Provides oversight and supervision for five customer service areas.
- Manages the day-to-day office operations including direct supervision of the Senior and Permit Analysts on the issuance of permits, licenses and other related divisional operations.
- Serves as the divisional representative for coordination of county-sponsored programs, i.e., incentive and recognition programs.
- Prepares reports from data on staff productivity as it relates to customer assistance, service times, and telephone activity.
- Coordinates activities with other divisions, business/property owners, contractors and design professionals in order to accomplish goals and complete tasks.
- Completes other duties as assigned.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Graduation from an accredited institution with an Associates degree in Business or Public Administration, Management, or a closely related field or, sixty (60) credit hours towards a degree specified, and three (3) years experience in a customer service capacity in building inspection/plans review. Requires extensive experience and knowledge of the Division of Building Safety’s business rules and operating systems, to include IBM Permitting System, Customer Sign-In system, FastTrack online Member Services. |
