| General Functions |
| |
This position is responsible for ensuring successful completion of the day-to-day operations for the back office activities within the Code Enforcement Division. The position interprets and administers County procedures and regulations in accordance with applicable state and local ordinances. This position is also responsible for direct training and development of staff.
Work is performed with independence under the general direction of the Administrative Support Supervisor or designee and is evaluated through conferences, observations, reports and achievement of desired results.

| Representative Duties /Assignments |
| |
- Provides day-to-day supervision of employees and on-call professionals that support to County staff, County Boards, and Division customers, including board support, property maintenance, customer reception, records management, and vendor services. Responsible for performance evaluations, time reporting, and leave requests.
- Ensures quality control for staff data entry, products, reports, and materials.
- Monitors vendor contracts and internal purchasing functions to ensure compliance with County regulations.
- Ensures enforcement boards are receiving support services and that case management standards are met.
- Assist staff with resolving minor computer problems and coordinating on-going technology needs with ISS, the Assistant Manager or designee.
- Trains new Code Enforcement Specialists to perform all duties in a consistent manner with adopted and/or established policies and procedures.
- Oversees and assists with the negotiated settlement process whereby fines and costs are collected, lien amounts comprised and liens released.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

| Minimum Qualifications |
| |
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Public Administration, Computer Science, or closely related field and two years of field inspections, code, zoning or building enforcement or processing; or closely related experience in a similar regulatory environment. Additional years of specified experience can substitute for education. |

| Preferences |
| |
Financial, procurement and/or contract management experience
Proficient in computer spreadsheet, database and/or word processing software.
Experience with government board administration or code enforcement
Experience with Advantage financial system
