CODE ENFORCEMENT SETTLEMENT COORDINATOR

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

General Functions
   A person in this classification is responsible for determining courses of action in the settlement of outstanding Code Enforcement fines and liens. This classification works under the administrative oversight of the Administration Support Supervisor, the Code Enforcement Manager and the Peer Review Committee.
 
Representative Duties /Assignments
  
  • Determine best course of action towards the negotiation and collection of outstanding Code Enforcement monetary fines and liens.
  • Collect fines and bring settlements for other Orange County Divisions including Fire/Rescue, Utilities, Building and Environmental Protection.
  • Determine the suitable amount for monetary collections.
  • Liaison with property owners, lien holders, attorneys and County Staff via written correspondence and verbal communication.
  • Creation and maintenance of computer based case settlement tracking system.
  • Other related duties as required.
 
Minimum Qualifications
   Graduation from high school or equivalent and two years experience in code enforcement, zoning or closely related; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.
 
Preferences
   Excellent verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with personal computers and Microsoft Office products.
