If you are a new board member of a homeowner¿s association, then this workshop is a must attend! Just being elected, in and of itself, does not prepare you to serve on the board. Join us to learn the basics about the state laws applicable to being a board member, understanding your fiduciary responsibilities, and how to run an effective organization.
The attorneys presenting this workshop will provide an overview of State Statutes Chapters 618 & 720, as well as other applicable regulations.

Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes states that if a person decides to appeal any decision made by a board, agency, or commission with respect to any matter considered at a meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
